Mako robotic-assisted joint replacement process
Step 1
A CT scan is taken prior to surgery and used to develop a 3D virtual model of your unique joint.
Step 2
Your doctor uses the 3D CT-based model to evaluate your bone structure, disease severity, joint alignment and even the surrounding bone and tissue so that they can determine the desired size, placement and alignment of your implant.
Step 3
The Mako robotic arm provides unprecedented precision. From preparing your joint to positioning the implant, every move is calculated and controlled to ensure the best possible fit and function for your new joint.
